Ok the more astute of you will have picked up on the poetic licence. For those non birders out there,hirundines are the
swallow and
martin family, which doesn't strictly include the
swifts.(
but it's my post so I can). Also
sand martin are very scarce here in the mid section and I haven't had one today but for the first time this year
swift,swallow and
house martin are
(under the belt)
