Supplement to geoffs posts

Grey wagtail
still sitting on their nest
was fortunate to see the male take over sitting duties at 7am on Friday morning and then later see presumably the same female at the wetland (aka morgans puddle) 45 mins later. What is noticeable about both birds is that they do not seem ro have attained full breeding plumage.
Swift
Fly threw on Thursday and 4 hanging around the schoo;s today.
Garden warbler showed superbly early Thursday
Coot on canal just north of meccano on Friday morning
is the the bird we saw further south???
Buzzard 2 over Oxley this morning
Stock dove 7+ by wetland Friday morning
Yellow Wagtail flew from culvert area towards wetland early thurs but could not be relocated.

Moorhen brood of newly hatched birds totalling 7 at lock 20
will be interesting to monitor the predation rate which can be high
but if any survive they will be assisting in the feeding of later broods.
